Here you will find a summary of the terms and conditions of the collective health insurance coverage for employees of the Group’s Swedish companies. Disability pensions are based on the ITP-P collective agreement and insured by Posten’s Insurance Association. Each company pays monthly insurance premiums.

Insured persons

Insured persons are those employees covered by the ITP-P collective agreement who are at least 18 years of age and who work at least 20% of a full-time position. Temporary employees are insured after three full calendar months of continuous employment. Disability pensions are not affected by length of service. The insurance is collective risk insurance; there are no individual insurance policies.

Insured events and size of pension entitlements

Employees who have received sickness benefits, temporary sickness benefits or activity compensation from the Social Insurance Administration are eligible for disability pension benefits as follows:
21% of wage shares up to 7.5 price base amounts
81% of wage shares between 7.5 price base amounts and 20 income base amounts
40.5% of wage shares between 20 and 30 income base amounts

Disability pension benefits are also available to employees who earn in excess of 7.5 price base amounts in cases where the employee is sick for more than 90 days and is unable to work at least 25 per cent. In these cases, the disability pension entitlement is 80 % of salary over 7.5 price base amounts.

Disability pensions do not constitute paid-up insurance policies.

Payment period

Payments are made as long as and to the extent that the disability exists or until the recipient reaches the age of 65. Pension payments cease upon the death of the recipient; no further payments are made to the estate.

Amendments to insurance terms and conditions

Insurance terms and conditions can be amended only per agreement (collective agreement) between the employers’ organisation Almega (Communication section) and the personnel organisations.

Settlement of claims

Claims are settled by the Swedish Government Employee Pensions Board (SPV).
