Survivors of employees of any of the Group’s Swedish companies are eligible to receive a family pension. This also applies to survivors of former employees who have retired. The family pension is a collective insurance plan based on the pension agreement ITP-P. The family pension is insured by Posten’s Insurance Association.
Insured persons
Insured persons are employees of Posten AB, Posten Meddelande AB, Posten Logistik AB, Svensk Kassaservice AB, Svensk Adressändring AB and AdressPoint AB. This also applies to former employees who have retired. Eligibility is contingent upon the deceased having reached the age of 28 during his or her period of employment and earning a salary of at least 7.5 income base amounts. The family pension is adjusted differently for employees with pension plans for high salary employees (ten or more times the price base amount).
Family pension entitlement
Family pensions can only accrue to surviving spouses and to children under the age of 20. Cohabitants cannot be beneficiaries. Specific beneficiary appointments may not be made.
Pension amount
For calculation of pension amount, please see clause 9.2 in the pension agreement ITP-P. Pensions are calculated solely on wage shares in excess of 7.5 income base amounts.
Paid-up policies
Employees who leave their employment after reaching the age of 28 but before retirement age are entitled to paid-up policies for the family pension accrued.
Payment period
Family pensions are payable as of the month following the month during which the death of the employee occurred. Family pensions are payable to the spouse of the deceased until the month in which the spouse dies. Family pensions are payable to children of the deceased until and including the month during which the child turns 20 or until the child dies, whichever occurs first. If, however, the child is entirely and permanently unable to work as of his or her 20th birthday, said child is entitled to receive family pension benefits as long as this condition persists.
Amendments to insurance terms and conditions
Insurance terms and conditions can be amended only per agreement (collective agreement) between the employers’ organisation Almega (Communication section) and the personnel organisations.

Claims are settled by the Swedish Government Employee Pensions Board (SPV).
