Premium Exemption Insurance ITPK-P

Premium exemption insurance is a complement to collective health insurance. It covers employees of Posten AB, Posten Meddelande AB, Posten Logistik AB, Svensk Kassaservice AB, Svensk Adressändring AB or AdressPoint AB who are sick for a period exceeding 90 days.

Premium exemption insurance is a complement to collective health insurance, and covers employees of the Group’s Swedish companies who are sick for a period exceeding 90 days and who thus receive no salary. Under the terms of ITPK-P, the employer must transfer 2 per cent of the employee’s salary to a pension fund and the employee determines how this premium is invested.

With premium exemption insurance, Posten’s Insurance Association pays the premium costs for employees who have been sick for more than 90 days. During the period of illness, the applicable Group company makes provisions for pensions but receives reimbursement from Posten’s Insurance Association for pension premiums paid.

Insured persons

Insured persons are those employees at least 28 years of age who work at least 20% of a full-time position at Posten AB, Posten Meddelande AB, Posten Logistik AB, Svensk Kassaservice AB, Svensk Adressändring AB or AdressPoint AB.

Payment period

Payments are made as long as the disability exists.

Amendments to insurance terms and conditions

Insurance terms and conditions can be amended only per agreement (collective agreement) between the employers’ organisation Almega (Communication section) and the personnel organisations.

Settlement of claims

Claims are settled by the Swedish Government Employee Pensions Board (SPV). The applicable Swedish company within PostNord Group receives reimbursement for pension premiums paid for the employee.
