In both 1995 and 1996 the company was named one of Sweden’s most environmentally aware listed companies by The Natural Step, which works to promote commitment to, and competence in, sustainable development. In 1996 Strålfors became approved as a producer of printed materials bearing the Nordic Ecolabel. In the same year, Strålfors became environmentally certified to ISO 14001, the first company in the industry to do so and one of the first in the world. • Swedish Posten develops its first environmental service – direct mail including compensation for the distribution operation’s climate footprint.
  • Post Danmark introduces speed limits of 85 km/h, compared with 90 km/h previously, for its vehicles of over 3.5 tonnes to reduce the temptation of overtaking, which increases fuel consumption.
  • Post Danmark cooperates with the Danish Energy Agency on the One Tonne Less climate campaign, in which employees commit to reducing their carbon dioxide emissions. Post Danmark quickly seized pole position as the company in which most employees had signed up for the initiative.

2008
