Do you remember when ”letters” were nearly always brown envelopes with bills inside, or small envelopes with a note from a relative? Today, letters can weigh up to two kilos and may just as easily contain a shirt purchased online or an elegant invitation from a car dealer – in the form of a steering wheel – inviting you to test-drive a new car. Bills come in letter form, though they’re paid electronically. And holiday greetings come as personal postcards, sent via mobile phones from across the globe but printed and distributed by us here at home.
Easy for sender. Easy for recipient.
Wherever in Sweden or Denmark a letter-writer may live, PostNord endeavours to make it as easy as possible to send letters. No one but PostNord distributes letters on all weekdays (in Denmark, all days of the week excluding Sundays) and to all households throughout Sweden and Denmark.
Extra secure. Extra fast.
If your letter contains particularly important information or products, we offer the option of sending it as a Registered Letter. A letter containing a valuable item may be sent as an Insured Letter. If you need your letter to arrive extra fast, send it as an Express Letter (Denmark: Post Exprès) and it will be driven out by courier first thing in the morning (Monday-Friday). Express, Registered and Insured letters can be tracked by both senders and recipients via specific ID numbers.
Posten in the computer?
More and more people are choosing PostNord’s latest short cut for people looking for the most flexible way to manage their bills and other mail items: ePostbox (Sweden) and eBoks (Denmark). Here, people can manage selected mail items online and pay bills with one click.
Going on a holiday? Moving house?
Those who don’t want to receive mail at their usual address for a period of time can choose to have their mail either stored or redirected to a temporary address. If you’re moving to a new permanent address, let us know as soon as possible so that delivery of your mail can continue uninterrupted. All notices of temporary or permanent changes of address are reported to Svensk Adressändring, one of PostNord’s partners in Sweden and via e-Posthuset or the nearest Post Office in Denmark..
