Even our soccer heroes need help (from PostNord) sometimes

400–500 tracksuits, 500–600 T-shirts for practice, 400 rolls of tape, 634 quarts of sports drink, 200 ice packs, and—of course—soccer balls. This is just some of the equipment PostNord is delivering to the Swedish national team competing in this summer’s UEFA Euro 2016 tournament.

PostNord is the official logistics partner of the Swedish Football Association and Swedish Euro 2016 team. Its first deliveries of equipment to the team’s base camp in Pornichet, on France’s Atlantic coast, have just set off, carried by a custom-designed truck bearing images of Sweden’s star players on its sides.

“We’re very proud to have been chosen as the official logistics partner of the Swedish Football Association and the Swedish Euro 2016 team. PostNord is known for its excellent delivery quality, and we’re an important player in deliveries to and from the Nordic region. That makes us the obvious choice of logistics partner in this case,” says Per Mossberg, Chief Communications Officer at PostNord.

Fact box: UEFA Euro 2016 will be held in France June 10–July 10, and all the necessary equipment must be on site well before the squad’s arrival. PostNord’s final transport left Sweden in the beginning of June.

Led by captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Swedish men’s team will play its first match of the tournament against Ireland at Paris’ Stade de France on June 13.
