PostNord’s parcel drivers drive parcels out to recipients: consumers, companies and partner outlets.
“I have a Type B driver’s license, and that’s sufficient to drive a van. During the course of a working day, I deliver around 100 parcels. I meet a lot of people and I like being outdoors.
Maybe I’ll also get to take my truck license soon – that would be cool!
Sanna trained as a pastry chef when she finished school, but after working in that role for a few years, she heard through the grapevine that the parcel section in Uppsala was looking for drivers and seized the opportunity. She’s now been working there for four years.
Might get a truck license
“This is a great job for me. Admittedly, it’s heavy work – I get a daily workout in my job – but it’s fun and suits me, as I love driving cars. Maybe I’ll also get to take my truck license soon – that would be cool!”
Driver working hours vary from early morning to late evening. Sanna, who has young children, appreciates the opportunity to work day shifts.
“My fantastic colleagues are also a plus point,” says Sanna. “We all help each other out, and if anyone has questions, we’re all ready to chime in.”
