Posten Norden Group changes name to PostNord

As of today, the Posten Norden Group and parent company have a new name: PostNord. The names of other brands – including Posten, Post Danmark and Strålfors – remain unchanged.

Following the merger of Posten AB and Post Danmark A/S the group was temporarily named Posten Norden AB. Since the merger the goal has been to introduce a permanent and internationally marketable name for the group. The group’s annual general meeting on 15 April 2011 resolved to change the name of the parent company from Posten Norden AB to PostNord AB.

PostNord, previously Posten Norden, was formed in 2009 through the merger of Post Danmark A/S and Posten AB. The group offers communication and logistics solutions to, from and within the Nordic region, with sales of approximately SEK 42 billion and over 40,000 employees.
