Harlem Transport now part of PostNord

PostNord today finalized the acquisition of 100 percent of the shares of logistics company Harlem Transport AS. The business will be included in PostNord’s accounts as of today as part of business area Logistics. The acquisition complements PostNord’s existing operations in Norway and further strengthens the group’s position in the growing Norwegian logistics market.

Harlem Transport is a well-established transport and logistics company in Norway. The company offers services for consignment goods transport in four areas: convenience goods, industry, shipping and recycling and waste. The company holds a strong position as logistics supplier to the convenience goods industry and has agreements with several major industry players. In 2011 Harlem Transport had sales of NOK 292m and 211 employees.

PostNord’s logistics operations in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland had sales of approximately SEK 13 billion in 2011. The business focuses on parcels, pallets, express and third-party logistics. PostNord’s logistics operations in Norway are run through Tollpost Globe AS which, with 2011 sales of NOK 2.7 billion, is among Norway’s three largest logistics companies.
