Blue Water Shipping and PostNord sign agreement on parcels and pallets

The Danish transport and logistics company Blue Water Shipping is expanding its Nordic distribution business through a new agreement with PostNord.

“In PostNord we gain a key partner that knows the Nordic region better than any other distributor in the market and offers deliveries of high quality. The agreement means that PostNord will distribute the large amounts of parcels, pallets and groupage that we handle on behalf of our customers in the Nordic region. We’re happy to be working with PostNord since this will make us an even more attractive partner to our present and future customers,” says Michael Poder Hansen, Head of Road Transport Europe at Blue Water Shipping.

PostNord is looking forward to helping Blue Water Shipping to continue to grow and develop.

“We’re proud that Blue Water Shipping has chosen us as its new Nordic logistics partner. The Nordic region is our home territory, and with our finely meshed distribution network, it’s where we can offer Blue Water Shipping the best and most effective solutions—ones that can make a difference to them and their customers,” says Henning Christensen, Head of PostNord Denmark.

The agreement will enter into force on 20 October. Blue Water Shipping is one of Denmark’s most versatile transport firms, working in seven different business areas. The company is in the process of extensively strengthening its position in the Nordic region, which the agreement with PostNord will contribute to. It employs over 1,400 employees in around 30 countries, and in 2013 it had net sales of DKK 4.3 billion.
