Anna van Bunningen to be new Head of Strategy at PostNord

Anna van Bunningen has been appointed Head of Nordic Strategy & Solutions at the PostNord Group. She joins PostNord from the energy company Vattenfall, where she is leading a strategic transformation program for electricity distribution. Since 2020, she has also been CFO of Remeo AB on a part-time basis. Anna van Bunningen will join PostNord in a full-time capacity on June 15, 2021.

Anna van Bunningen is currently leading a strategic transformation program at the state-owned Vattenfall Group, where she has also previously held roles such as Director Corporate Transformation, Vice President Business Development & Governance and Head of Strategic Development. She also works for the start-up company Remeo AB, where she holds the position of CFO. Before joining Vattenfall in 2006, she was a project manager at the consulting firm Boston Consulting Group, BCG, and before that she was a financial analyst at Carnegie Investment Bank.

Anna van Bunningen brings extensive experience of working with strategy and business development to PostNord, and she also has many years of experience in leading large and complex transformation programs. She will succeed Jan Starrsjö, who retires on July 1 after working at the PostNord Group for more than 25 years. Jan Starrsjö has held several senior positions in the Group and has been a member of PostNord’s Group Leadership Team since 2016.

Anna van Bunningen was born in 1967. She holds an MSc in Engineering Physics from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from INSEAD in France, where she has also worked on doctoral studies in the field of strategy. Anna van Bunningen will be a member of the Group Leadership Team.
